THIS PLACE WILL CHANGE YOU IF YOU LET IT

“One year ago St Patrick’s Day I weighed 215lbs. After changing to a paleo diet and beginning CrossFit I have dropped 45 lbs over the course of a year and the photo on the right is this year weighing in 170lbs. You don’t need to work out in your living room or take diet pills, just stick to a healthy diet and bust your butt in the gym. Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% working out, it’s that easy. I couldn’t have done this without the support of my friends and family. Thanks for the encouragement!!”

“CrossFit Boro has made a remarkable impact on my life in more ways than I can count. When I started on ramp I was coming off of a year and a half hiatus from the gym after suffering a back injury that caused me to lose nearly 30 pounds. After finishing On Ramp my first workout was MURPH, which was by all counts a baptism by fire but I immediately fell in love with CrossFit. Going to the gym 6 days a week has had a drastic impact on my body and my overall attitude, Brack and the rest of the coaches have helped me to work with my injury and I have noticed a fantastic improvement on my mobility and strength because of it. After only two and a half months I’ve already gained back 20 pounds and I’m able to get back in the gym, which what I love most.

CrossFit Boro is essentially one big family and I highly encourage anyone to come by the box and check it out, it will change your life if you let it.”

“I walked into CrossFit Boro on November 2, 2015. I was 252 lbs, way out of shape, way past my athletic teens and early twenties and having chronic back pain and discomfort. I was nervous going in but determined to make a positive change. I was put at ease immediately upon entering my first class, the community was inviting and supportive and the coaches were encouraging and eager to help me. I started out scaling everything, I couldn’t even do a full depth squat and that was ok, I was reminded constantly that even a little progress was progress. In the last year and nine months, I have made a complete transformation, the programming paired with Peak Biometrics InBody scanning have put me in the best shape of my life. I’m at a comfortable 210 lbs now and my body fat percentage is as low as it has ever been. My overall health is better than it has ever been as my last physical indicates and the days of back pain and discomfort are gone. Ryan Brack and the CrossFit community have been life changing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

“Before I joined Crossfit Boro I ran outside, did workout videos at home and would go to a regular gym. There was always something missing: motivation, interaction with people, community and where were my RESULTS?? to name a few.

I joined Crossfit Boro in February 2016 and it has been the best decision I have made for myself. The coaches are all very well educated and care about you/your form with all movements. They make sure to guide and teach you correct ways to do the workouts so you don’t get injured. The atmosphere is so positive. It’s a place where everyone feels welcomed and where you feel valued no matter your size, shape or age. The coaches will push you because they believe in you more than you may believe in yourself. That support helps not only physically but also mentally. Each day I am adding more weights and getting leaner and stronger. Additionally, they will take time to measure you with a body composition scan called Peak Biometrics. With the results, they then can provide a recommended nutrition plan to help reach the goals you want. Once I did this, my body began changing, lost body fat and began to build muscle. Before Crossfit Boro, these types of changes were not happening.

Every day I wake up excited to go to Crossfit, excited to see the regular 6:30ers and every night after I leave class, I feel a sense of accomplishment and happiness. Whatever I was sad about earlier in the day, I am able to release it at crossfit. I can’t think of a reason why I would ever leave. It will be a part of my life forever no matter where I live. For those people reluctant to join, just at least try it once. It’s not as scary as you may think it is. It’s the opposite, it’s a safe and encouraging environment. If you are unhappy, this place will uplift you in more ways than one.

Thank you Brack and coaches for believing in me and helping me get better. Feel lucky to have such a great box in our town!”

“Before I started nursing school I was scared I wouldn’t have time or energy to workout. I joined crossfit before specifically before nursing school started because I wanted to get into a workout regimen. Joining crossfit has showed me to stop doubting myself about what I can and cannot accomplish. I have definitely shocked myself by the amount of weight I’ve built up to since joining. I truly believe crossfit is what has kept me sane through school. And even when I don’t feel like I have much energy, I still push myself to go because it is always the highlight of my day. What drove me most toward joining is that everyone is always motivating each other. You’ll never meet a stranger at crossfit!”
